What do you think of this poem?
I have posted this on another website, but I wanted to find out from the people on here. It's my first attempt at an alphabet poem, and I did not mean it to turn out quite so sad.
Anyway,
What do you think?
After using up the tissues, I had
Better...
stop
Crying. What about? I
Don’t know. Too
Empathic, I guess.
Friends I have plenty of,
Good ones and bad.
Hate is not an emotion which reigns
Immortal and white-hot in my mind.
Jokes I know a lot of, but
Kidding I have trouble with.
Loathing, yet loving too
Much, leaving
No room for
Other emotions. Much
Pain and suffering I have been through, though a
Queenly attitude holds its head.
Rivulets of thought run through my mind, not
Something to be afraid of, but
To think highly of.
Underneath the rivulets lies a
Vacuum, a hole, leading into my
Wide open mouth. If you could
X-Ray me,
You would see thoughts more outlined, more bold than bone. I need a
Zip across my mouth, to keep my thoughts in.
Thankyou for reading,
Britz
