What do you think of tattoos?

What is your opinion on tattoos? Do you think they are sexy, trashy, beautiful, what's your personal view of them? Do you judge people differently if they have one?

tattoos are sexy. unless it's a tattoo on the small of your back (aka tramp stamp), then it's just trashy, unoriginal, and ugly.

I love them. Original and tasteful tattoos, anyway. I think it's trashy and just plain stupid when people get a tattoo of a heart on their ankle or something. Or a Pooh-bear on their shoulder. Seriously, even if it holds meaning to someone.. can't there be a more creative way to show it rather than a cartoon character? It really depends.

I don't judge someone if they HAVE tattoos... however, I may judge a little depending on what their tattoos are OF. But yeah, I don't judge just from the mere fact that they have tats personally, but like I said that's also because I like them haha

Tattoos are cool

In my opinion, tattoos are a way to hold onto a memory that you want to never forget...exactly why they are permanent. They are an artistic way to cherish a memory... But, as other people have stated, only when the tattoo is original and means something to you.

Honestly, I want to kill whoever made up the dumb rule that you had to be 18 to get a tattoo.

The question is what do you think. Yes, you will be judged, by many people, who cares? Do you want one, if you answer yes, get one.

DO NOT GET
-Something that's just "cute"
-anybody's name, maybe a childs, your kid, niece, nephew, ect...

DO GET
-something that means something
-something important, not just for today, but for eternity, I believe tattoos are like marige in a way, when you get one, you should stick with it, you can have it covered up, but if you pick the correct one in the first place, no need

not my thing, but only would get one if it meant a great deal to me.

I like tattoos because they are a way to express yourself, show something you believe in or love or just plain and simple a way to be creative. I took a long planning my first tattoo, a personal rendition of my family crest from my mother side. It took me probably 10 years to finally decide on it 100% and went and got it done. I've had it for over a year now and have been working on drawing of my next 2.

Think seriously before you get something done though. This isn't dying your hair purple that can be changed easily enough, or a piercing that can be removed and leave virtually no scar. A tattoo is basically permanent, yes you can have them removed but it's not cheap, hurts like a mofo, not to mention the scar left behind.

I've got a rule with myself until I win the lottery and don't have to worry about what people think during an interview or a business meeting. That rule is short sleeves. Anthing that can be covered by short sleeves is good to go.
