What do you look for in music?

just out of wonder,
when your shopping for CDs, downloads, any kind of new music. What is the one thing you look for in an artist/band?

I look for intensity. Whether it is the intensity of hard driving bebop, complex avant garde, romantic era classical music, or heavy metal the thing I enjoy in all genre of music in intensity. I like music that allows me to vicariously feel the raw emotion of the composer or artist.

I LOOK FOR SONGS THAT I CAN RELATE TO THE LYRICS.. SOMETHING THAT TELLS A STORY AND COULD EVEN BE ABOUT ME OR SOMEONE I KNOW.. ALSO SOMETHING WITH A GOOD BEAT TO IT.. SO I CAN DANCE!!

I look for rythm...it has to make me wanna dance/lol
