What do you believe?

Do you believe you will go to heaven when you die? How do you get there?

Yes I believe in heaven. I know that my savior died on the cross to save me from my sins. To get to heaven you have to believe, really know that you are a sinner, and that Jesus died to make you clean. He paid the penalty.

To get there you pray a prayer like this:

Dear Lord. I know that I am a sinner. I am sorry and want to be washed clean. Lord thank You for sending Jesus to die on the cross for me, to save me from my sins. Lord make me new, and help me to live my life for You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

I dont believe ill go to heaven, but I hope I do, avoid temptation and always pray for forgiveness and others and heaven will be open for you.

So you are interested in what others believe about life and the hereafter. Yes I do have faith that mortal life is just the beginning to a journey that never ends. And that their is a Heaven and a Hades and you decide where and when you will see either. Heaven is a place of spiritual bliss where their are no wars or suffering or pain. Where we go to be with the ones who left before us, such as our family and our friends who waiting for us. That's all fine and well, but for me I would like to believe that Heaven is right here and now in all the things that bring us Happiness and Joy, whether it be a glorious sunrise or a soft gentle breeze that cools you on a hot day. The feelings you get when that special someone comes within sight. Its' the warmth that you feel when the ones you Love say I Love you and you know that it's for real. So yes I believe in Heaven, as for Hades I do not believe that a place such as that exists other then in the mind of those who are afraid of the powers that be, the ones who have caused more pain and suffering to the innocent. And for those who have wasted their , lives in search of destruction and chaos with no remorse or regret for the suffering they have caused. To those ones of shame and guilt there is a Hades and they will live in it every waking or sleeping moment of their regrettable lives. I am a believer in the power of the God and Goddess of Creation and Life, who have blessed me in so many ways that their are no doubts within my Heart or mind that they are as real as the Sun and the Moon. All it takes is the willingness to have faith that they are with you in all that you do in this brief moment in time and that if you listen to your Heart you will hear and feel and know without a doubt they are their with you. Yes, I believe that heaven is Jesus' free gift to us, and torikeene has explained how simple it is to accept the gift.

Of course, accepting the gift is just the start of what I've found to be an amazing life, because knowing Jesus is not just about the future, it's about right now, and everything that you can now do for Jesus and for the whole world!

What ancient people believed has no bearing on reality. The existence of an afterlife is a belief, not a reality. Accordingly, it would depend on the religion you follow, but beware. The other religions say that you'll burn in hell for eternity if you don't follow them. I have a hard time understanding how people believe in the Christian concept of salvation. The omni` god would not have to torture and sacrifice his own son, he would have just forgiven. Plus why is Hell gods only other option? Afterall, he caused the whole mess in the first place, plus knew what was going to happen from the beggining. It's absurd and makes absolutely no sense.
