What color should I color my hair ?

I,m going to be 36 years old next week, I,m light skinned. My hair is long and wavy plus thick, it is a dark brown color but at the ends it is a golden brown. I want to dye it but not sure if I should go darker or lighter. I don't to look older. Will a dark color make me look older?

get it dyed professionally. get it a really light light blond. and ya a dark color will make you look older..but blond will make you look prettier

WHOA... back that truck up. Go see a professional that you trust that has references. Make sure yall have a consultation. I always make my stylist leave the salon for my consult-gives her a smoke break which will make her less agitated while cutting my hair, and helps with distractions from other stylists and clients. Some dark and some light colors will wash you out or make your skin look yellow. Before your consultation, get some magazine pictures of hair color that you could see on yourself. The stylist is going to give you the best advice. We don't know your hair style or skin tone or anything to give us an inkling of what will look good on you. There is no such thing as a color making someone look old or young.
