What can the cops do if i'm 18 and reported missing?

I recently asked a question about me leaving my parents house to go to the school of my choice well I did that recently and now my parents are calling everyone off my cell phone bill asking whether or not they know where I am? I was wondering what will...

happen if my parents called the cops. I'm already 18 so what will da cops do if they report me missing or that I ran away?

Have compassion and at least find a way to get word to them that you're ok, if you haven't done so...can't speculate what the cops would do...I wish all of you the best !!

You shouldnt keep it from them,Theyre worrying like crazy,
Obviously if theyre calling your friends.

If they call the cops,They Can Report you missing.
And they could even do an Amber Alert,Im sure.

Because you're already 18, I don't think law enforcement would consider you as 'missing' per se or as a runaway. As far as legal action, I can't say for sure, but if you have any pending legal action(s) against you they will act accordingly. I do, however, hope you at least have the decency of letting your parents know you're fine and not in danger. Empathy is an earned tool that we all should be able to 'utilize'. I'm not familiar with your current or prior family history but again, I hope you'll let them back in your life or at least work thru some of the issues you may have. -S

the cops will laugh at your parents like they did to my grand parents when they asked the cops to look for my mom...she was 19 at the time...if cops find you and ask what the problem is just tell them ...MY PARENTS...the cops cant do anything your 18 your a legal adult and your parents need to get over that

you are 18 and free to live where you want to but help your concerned parents out here and give them a call to lete them know you are ok.

well you should cal one of your friends and tel them to tel your parents your okay..so they dont get more worriedd but the cops cant realy do anything yur 18 yur an adult soo i wouldnt wory to muchh they cant realy make yougo back

in the states if your 15 and younger then they will put out an amber alert

they will probably hunt you down

all the cops can do is find you and make sure you're ok they have to let you do your thing after that... honestly you'd be better off just callin your parents and tellin them were you are that way ou don't even have to deal with teh cops what so ever!!!
