What can i do to help

This is a disaster , I have this friend call sophie and she has had problems , she has fallen inlove with a teacher and she has self harmed , its simple , I have been helping her out , helping her along the way , she is coping well but know her friends...

racheal and emma have started giving her the cold shoulder again , they started this when she needed them the most , that is why me and sophie have become closer , because I helped her , when her friends didnt , problem , racheal and emma are also good friends of mine and they have fallen out with sophie calling her perfetic , and an attention seaker , I want to help sophie she dosnt want to be here anymore , I've told her that what ever life throws at her isnt always going to be easy and she has other friends and people like me that will help her threw it , I feel like im not doing her any good , how can I help her and what can I do to make her friends actully help her along the way , and get them to realise that you cant choose who you fall in love with !!! IF what u'r saying this time is true -- you her need to talk with a pastor -- do you either go to church? if so go to the pastor, if not find a friend who goes to church and go to that church and tell him the situation -- the reason I SAY pastor is he/they will keep what you say CONFIDENTAL -- OK then take it from there

If she's suicidal, you need to tell someone. Yes, I know, it seems unbearable to betray her confidence in that way but someone needs to know. Self harm is a symptom of something else, like depression, or anxiety, it is a persons way of coping when they dont know what else to do. Problem is, that it usually indicates something pretty awful is going on. And she needs to get help for whatever that is. And a good friend is priceless, but you're not trained to help her. You're also emotionally involved. She needs to talk to a counselor...
