What can i do?

I was baptized catholic and my parents say they're catholic, but they've never really taught me anything about it and I've only been to a church 3 times in my life. I lived in China for a lot of my life and I got into a big party scene with all my...

friends drinking and doing drugs. I never got into the whole drug thing, but I did drink sometimes. I heard that christians were allowed to drink anyway.
Anyways, the main point I'm trying to get at is that I really WANT to be catholic and a good christian, but I don't think I can do it. I moved to a christian school and most of my friends are really religious. I love the way they can believe in God and his eternal love.
I don't need to be preached to about why I should be a christian and so on because I WANT to, but I find it incredibly difficult to let go of my beliefs that we're an accidental creation of nature and when we die, we die... I can't imagine a being that loves us and created us. (God)
My Bible teacher told us that a christian feels compelled to do right by God and is meant to KNOW that he is there. And that we are born to be christians and God has already chosen who will be saved because he knows what is to come and what has already come. I often wonder if maybe I'm not meant to be a christian and I wasn't chosen or something because it's so hard and I can't see myself being able to change... I really don't know how anyone can help but if you think you can in ANY way please,

Believes are personal, that is why there are so many different types of relgion.
Do not force yourself to belive something that you just don't, do not force yourself to do something you do not wish to.
If you just want to believe in a God and that he loves you then you should
just look around, go to different churches, see what interests you

There is a freedom of religion for everyone. Until you figure things out, I suggest you temporarily keep yourself away from religion. I'm Agnostic, which means I don't believe anything, but I'm not an Athiest either. I give all religion the benefit of the doubt and the thought that it could very well be true.

Remember you have the choice to believe whatever you want to and you can't force yourself to believe one thing when you truly believe another. Keep in mind that if nothing is after death then you can believe whatever and it won't matter. If there is God or another being then you could believe something just in case. The problem is we don't know what to believe. If God or gods or whatever is/are real, then they/him/her made a bad mistake by not informing humans what the deal is. He (let's assume he so I don't have to keep making slash marks) made us unable to read minds and so he shouldn't expect so much of us!
Sorry that was opinionated. Religion is always your choice. Don't let me influence you too much.

Ask the Lord to help you to become a true christian because the devil isnt gunna let you get off that easy hes gunna see that you want to be a christian and hes gunna make it really hard for you so ask God to help you and to change your life in his life style. if you need any additional help I will be more than happy to help you my dear 3 have a blessed day
