What brand of laptop do you all have?

What brand of laptop do you all have?
I, myself have an HP and its a great laptop so far. I haven't had any problems with it and, its my first laptop.
My second part to this question, is have you all had problems with your laptops? And, how come some of them overheat so much?
I would like to add that I think owning a laptop is much better then owning a desktop so it won't take so much space so that's what I'm on right now and this HP was made in 2006 so, I've had it for about 5 months or so, just guessing.
So, if you have an HP or Acer, or etc. what year is it and, so forth?

Acer and it works great. . . . probably buy another one when it's time to replace it.

I have a sony
It's my fourth laptop, had a compaq, HP, compaq then sony
I only had a problem with my HP overheating...
apparently the way HPs are built (friend has the same problem with his HP)

HP...works well for me

Dell...but I really want to get the new Mac Book Air laptop...Its sooo cool

Toshiba and it too overheats occasionally.

All depends on what you like, what kind of work you are going to be doing with a computer as to what people like.

I am on my second one and I have to say 'I HATE VISTA'!!

My first one was an HP and it overheated so much that it eventually melted the motherboard.

If you have trouble with it overheating get yourself a cooling mat. HP's are known for overheating.

oh yeah get that little board thing with a fan... that apparently helps...
