I think whatever your doctor prescribes for you is THE BEST for your eyes. The best brand for my eyes may not work well for yours.
I hope I was able to help. Good luck and have fun at the doctor's office.
I don't know much about contacts, but I reckon you should get those really awesome ones that have crazy colours and designs. They look freakin' sweet!
It all depends on what you want in a contact lens. For example, if your contacts staying moist is important to you, Accuview w/moisture lock may be your best bet.
If you want UV protection for your eyes, Precision UV may be more for you. I personally use color-enhancing contacts, Freshlook Radiance. I have only been using contacts for a little over 2 years, but I find that the best way to decide about most everything, without having to buy a whole bunch of different contacts, is to read consumer reviews about them.
Remember, just because it sounds good on the tv doesn't mean it is really that great.
I've always used Acuview (is that the one in the blue box?)
lostwife: doctors tend to prescribe whoever they've made contracts with...
it does not necessarily mean its going to be the best lense for you...
I used definition, but they're really drying...
Freshlook is great... although I dont know if you want to change your eye color...
Angel14215. Thanks. I didn't know that but now that you've said that, it seems so obvious. They're always just out doing what's best for them. Money hungry bastards!
Thanks again. I'll keep that in mind next time I go see my doctor.
One more thing, I dont suggest buying contacts from your eye doc, because they really jack up the price.
this was asked a while ago but just thought I would say, I have actually had problems with acuview in the past because my eyes werent getting enough oxygen so the blood vessels in my eyes were thickening as a result. My optomitrist switched me to O2 optics and the problem went away. I also find them more comfortable and I can wear them a lot longer than the acuview which I was told not to wear longer than 12 hours a day. What contacts work best for you in terms of comfort varies with everyone though and its something only you can know, not your optomitrist.

What brand contact lenses is the best?
Send me Fun Mail
I'm booking an appointment with an optomitrist soon (no lasik for me yet) and I usually get accuview contacts, however, I haven't tried others. Also, it seems like accuview contacts have a new version from some ad I saw on TV. Is that the best brand of contact lens or is there another one that's better?
