maybe youd like something softer...more in the goth-metal catagory?
im not sure exactly what your looking for but heres a few
nightwish, HIM, within temptation, lacuna coil...the list goes on really

What kind of metal? There are many sub genres to it. Power metal? Death metal? Black metal? Speed metal? etc. etc. etc.

Dragonforce are awesome. They don't scream. SOil are great although they're not really metal but still good. Converge are f*cking insane but, haha, they scream a f*ckload. Apocalyptica, Elven King, Finntroll, Soilwork are few others off the top of my head.

I like Finnish metal thats been getting real popular over here in America.

Because there so melodic and they use an excessive amount of keyboards

Just look for bands under:

Spinefarm Records.
Nuclear Blast Records.
Road Runner Records.
