Well I don’ t know if it would be considered Emo because there was no emo back when this came out but Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ is a good depressing song. The Pixies ‘Wave of Mutilation’.

Go to Pandora.com and search either of those and it will custom tailor a ‘radio station’ based on the genre selections that you put in. It’s called the music genome project. Pretty cool. Check it out.

Answer #10

I’m going to post my favorite depressing songs, most of them wouldn’t be considered emo since they came out before that genre existed, but most of them probably influenced the bands you like now. Joy Division: any, but “Love Will Tear Us Apart” The Smiths:”Last Night I Dreamt Somebody Loved Me” or “How Soon is Now?” The Cure:”The Kiss” or “A Night Like This” Love Spit Love:”Fall on Tears” The Psychedelic Furs “The Ghost in You” Weezer:”The World Has Turned and Left Me Here” and some newer stuff: The Secret Machines:”Alone, Jealous, and Stoned” Interpol:”Evil” She Wants Revenge:”True Romance”
