What are side effects to humans caused taser gun?

This is still a question of some debate, particularly as more and more police forces arm themselves with Taser weaponry as a non-lethal alternative to firearms.

Studies are still ongoing about the long-term effects to the nervous system, memory function, and brain activity, and the results of these studies are hotly contested by proponents and opponents alike. This question might have to wait another year before it is conclusively answered.
