What are rickets?

love em Asked by mugsy over 2 years ago, 2 answers.

What are rickets? I have had an itch and a burn that wouldn't go away forever and I had assumed it was hemroids but my doctor now says I have rickets. Or something that rhymed with cricket. I don't make any noise down there just pain, itching, and...

light bleeding after excessive scratching.

Dear Mugsy,
Rickets is a disease usually attributed to a lack of vitamin D or insufficient exposure to sunlight, and more prevalent than previously thought – to a lack of dietary calcium.
You need to contact your doctor to find out just exactly what he said. You also need to ask him the proper way to proceed to correct your problem.
Sue...good luck
