Dear Mugsy,
Rickets is a disease usually attributed to a lack of vitamin D or insufficient exposure to sunlight, and more prevalent than previously thought to a lack of dietary calcium.
You need to contact your doctor to find out just exactly what he said. You also need to ask him the proper way to proceed to correct your problem.
Sue...good luck
perhaps your doctor said rickettsia..which is very different from rickets but I don't know much about that condition anyways
Answer this Question: "What are rickets?"

What are rickets?
What are rickets? I have had an itch and a burn that wouldn't go away forever and I had assumed it was hemroids but my doctor now says I have 'rickets'. Or something that rhymed with 'cricket'. I don't make any noise down there just pain, itching, and light bleeding after excessive scratching.
