Actually yes, it does have to do with digging and mining. The reason to check on this would be if there is any mining nearby or if there is any reason at all to fear some corporate entity coming in to demolish your home because they bought the mineral rights out from under you. Someone told me that I should look into mineral rights of a property before I buy it. Why should I care about mineral rights? I am not too sure what mineral rights are. I thought that that had to do with mining.
