Where can a person advertize web groups, or web links for free?

You can submit your site to Google so they can list it.

Usually, they'll review your site and its content and when people search for something related to your site, it might be on the list!

There aren't any sites like this one out there, other than us...you'd have to build it. When you add up the features (customization, interests, photos, qa, groups, the admin side, etc)...there aren't any software products that are off the shelf that can do what our site does. Some do a few functions, eg, you can use wordpress extend it...and it's free, or drupal.

There is a free site maker that I've used (http://www.freewebs.com) that allows you to make a website for free, with the only limitation that you have some thin strip of advertisment at the top of the page. From there, you can post blogs, links, photos and videos, and more. Definately a good site maker. An example of a general URL is... http://www.yoursitehere.webs.com (the webs part is what gets it to be free for you while advertising them). Definately check them out.
