To lose weight fast and healthily I suggest working out the parts of body with which you'd like to lose mass from and eating less carbs, carbohydrates are the energy with which your body runs on, if you're to eat less carbohydrates the secondary energy source is your body fat, your body will eat away at the body fat and thus you will lose weight, although I am glad to hear you have a reasonable goal, given your large frame you're not suggesting a very small size which is what I hear a lot and is quite annoying, if your prom is somewhere in april or may, I can very well see you losing enough weight to fit the size you're aiming for. when you get around that type of food, have selfcontrol and turn away.
cut out fast food, and eat lots of celery and carrots.
im annorexic, so I know a bunch of little tricks.
one that all my friends use is that you take two table spoons of vinegar before you eat anything.
it fills you up, and takes away the bad taste in some foods.
exercise is the main thing though.
