What do you think about my weight?

Me surfing in Oahu Asked by oceanh3ro about 1 year ago, 6 answers.

I am 5 foot 2, and I weigh nearly 200lbs. I can run a mile and stay up/ahead of the smaller people and the docttors never say anything about my weight. I am happy with hwo I am, and I think that I am great. My fiancee loves my body too and doesnt want...

me to loose a pound. I am just wondering what you all think about this...?

The normal weight for someone who is 5 ft 2 is anywhere between 100 and 140 lbs. You have 60 extra pounds to carry around with you. Is it mostly fat or muscle? I'm not sure why your doctors aren't saying anything but thats quite overweight and will eventually place strain on your heart. I'm not sure I believe you when you say you can run a mile and keep ahead of everyone else.

Obesity is one of the causes of many diseases... not just heart -- but gall bladder, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, breathing problems, some cancers (breast and colon specifically) and osteoarthritis.

You are at high risk -- sorry to disagree with most others here...

I think it's great that you're physically fit, but maybe diet some because that is definately overweight for someone that height. you need to lose weight for your health. and that's all that should matter.

How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?

 
One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

it would be better to know your gender and age but you sound perfectly healthy
a lot of times, weight doesnt mean that your unhealthy
in fact, a lot of skinnier people couldnt keep up with you!
id say your pretty healthy and fit and theres nothing wrong with you
no need to loose weight or anything
and its good that your happy with your body! dont change
