Obviously you should stop - you shouldn't be smoking anything at all, especially at age 13. Don't smoke it anymore and if you feel as though you *cant* quit than you need to go to an addiction center or at least learn about addiction and ways to overcome it. You need to do this for yourself unless you feel like your life going absolutely nowhere.
Weed will definitely not help your ability to 'think straight' - quite the opposite:
Marijuana can be emotionally and mentally addictive. Once an individual becomes addicted to marijuana it develops into part of who they believe themselves to be. Avoiding their friends who do not use, the addict will gravitate to others that do. Marijuana is a topic that is always on their mind, whether it be thinking about the next time they will be able to get high or where their going to get their next sack. When someone is addicted to marijuana eventually their friends and the people close to them only know how they act when their stoned because they no longer do anything without first smoking. Their constant abuse is due to the misconception that marijuana is what they need to solve their problems. Sometimes addicts will take their stash with them wherever they go, just in case an opportunity arises and they are able to take a couple hits. I'm sorry you are going through a lot of personal issues. I suggest cutting back on weed bit by bit until you aren't smoking weed at all. See how things turn out that way. See if your thinking gets better or worse and if you feel better or worse. Now about your personal issues, try to confront them head on. You don't have anything to lose (unless these issues are huge like you are losing friends and family; then I am extremely sorry). If marijuana is making your life worse you really should stop. You may get a little depressed right after stopping, so that is why I think you should do it slowly. Also, if you like marijuana a lot, consider having it in tea, that way you don't contract lung, mouth or throat cancer. Best of luck and I hope things really turn around for you. Above all else, do what you think is right.

I've been smoking since I was 12 though and im almost 15...
im not addicted to it or anything...
because I dont do it a lot...
just like once every couple months...
but I love the high...
im not gonnna tell you to stop because that would be hipocritical...
but if you are showing signs of addiction you might want to think about cutting down...
I smoke weed since I was 12, and I stopped at 23. Sometimes people turn to drugs to escape day to day problems or issues. I understand that your dad does it, but if you don't want to then stop. Don't hang around people that do, don't talk to the person your getting it from, find another activity that makes you happy and feel good. THC is the main ingredient in MaryJane, when I did it I could concentrate more, and could analyze things better. Just remember, we all have problems, but it is how you deal with them that keeps you going through life.

k right, I'm kinda going through a bit of a rough patch right now. its more personal stuff - and all that. k, I cant think straight so I smoke a bit of weed. but I think its getting abit too regular..

all it is for me is comfort. like comfort food but in smoke form.
im always tired. my eyes feel heavy and life is kind of a blur and a bit of a daze. like, I swear 5 minutes ago I was in hospital. (about 1pm)
