How do you deal with extremely wavy hair?

My hair is very very VERY wavy. My family tells me that it looks gorgeous wavy but I HATE IT !! I need a cute hairstyle that doesnt take a lot of work. Should I try it one day naturally wavy ?? HELP!!

hey!! my hair is the exact same way, after you take it down out of a bun or ponytail it goes where ever it wants! it also drives me crazy. what i do is i straiten my hair. if you parents say it isnt good 4 your hair to straiten it well tell them that you will get some good shampoo that will fix the damage! so if i was you i would straiten it or curl you hair! up to you though. good luck : )

I, too, have the same problem lol. I'd say try it naturally wavy one day. See how that treats you. Have you tried experimenting with different brands of gel/mousse products?? There are some that will work better on your hair type than others. Try to stay away from the shampoo - it helps dry your curly hair out sometimes. Deep conditioners are amazing. Just don't be so self-conscience when it comes to your hair. If everybody says they love it, it probably means it looks good!! I get countless comments on my curly hair and I use to ignore them. I've realized that my close family and best friends would not lie to me about this. They mean it. It IS possible to train your hair. Once you find a wavy style you like, stay with it for a few weeks. Your hair will get use to this and it will be easier to style.

However, I do straighten my hair a lot. If you decide to do this, find a heat protectant to spray on before. This will help save your hair from getting fried.

Heyy. I, too very wavey hair. What I do is: after it's been washed and condition, I twist it into pigtails and let it dry. When it gets DAMP I spray some Sunsilk waves of envey sea mist on each pigtail and let it finish drying. Then I take out the pigtails and go to sleep. The next morning all you have to do is run a brush though it! Good luck!
