I suggest learning as much as possible about her reproductive system and cycle. Obviously the best time to get pregnant is when she is ovulating. The tricky part is knowing when that is. A simple way is to check her temperature every morning and if there is a rise of 0.2 C then the chances are she is ovulating. Generaly women ovulate about two weeks before their period but every women is different and their cycles can be affected by stress, tiredness, sickness, etc. So taking one's temperature is quite reliable but so is recognizing other symptoms such as change in color or odor of vaginal discharge. If she has been trying for 9 years, she might alos want to consult a fertility doctor to make sure 1-she is having sex at the right moments 2-maybe get fertility tests for both her and her partner.
