Why is my dog vomiting?

my dog just threw up before and it looked like her food was in it and looked yellow. then I took her outside and she threw up really small amounts and coughed. now she is trying to eat everything in site and I put her in her cage and she is licking the bars on the cage. what should I do?

Well she probably feels better. Dogs also like to eat grass when the have upset stomachs. Chances are shes starving now because vommiting emties you tummy so she probably wants to fill herself up.

if the bars on her cage are metal then they probobly collect salt so let her do it salt helps retain water thats why horses and shep and goats have salt blocks.
