What you need to do is drink another few shots of voddy and you'll be right as rain in no time. This is called the hair of the dog and is a well practised Irish tradition.
I'm gessing (because I have never drunk before and nver plan to) that it depends on how much you drank, and for how long your body has been taking in alchohol. For example my big bro went to a party and drunk for the first time but not a lot. He came home threw up and was right as rain. Although he only had a little bit. However if you come home and throw up after drinking too much when your body is trying to adjust to alcohol, it would take it some extra time.
If I were you, I wouldn't worry about alcohol poisoning. if you carry on feeling tipsy, then have a talk to your doctor about it, and he will tell you exactly why. If he tells you something completely different then don't blame me, I'm just thinking logically.: )
Hope I can help.
