Hi,

The only thing I like about Vista is really Microsoft Office 2007 -- which can be purchased and installed without Vista. The menus are easier to navigate, and any changes you make updates in real-time with previews.

As for the operating system itself, I found it to be big and clunky and it slowed down my machine. I uninstalled it about a week after I got it from my university.

Hope that helps.

Vista is the worst thing ever invented for computers.
The only reason any idiot likes it is because it looks so sleek and new.
It'll trash your computer.
Just upgrade the look of your computer if you want a vista feel without the s h I t.
I swear, unless you want a virus infested computer.

yea well I guess they summed it all up.
Vista is a new OS for the computer but in order to get the OS working you need some specific memory..some hard disk space a lot of stuff and you need a great deal of Video memory. my advice dont get it. it costs a lot and its not really all worth it like people always says it is..

Wow a lot of negative feelings about Vista,

Actually there are a couple of really neat things about Vista.

-It has an entirely new graphics library called Windows Aero that will allow you to experience graphic user interfaces far beyond that which XP can currently do.

-Another feature that is much better than XP is the search capability. It has a much improved user interface and the search capability in much broader range.

-Security has been much improved in Vista, it is much more like POSIX system in that you need give permission to a program to run instead of it just running,, unless you disable it.
This protect you from viruses and virus propagation much better than XP can.

There are many other nice things about Vista, it's not all bad.

I agree w/blackiechan. There is 'Nothing' good about Vista. I'll just keep my Windows XP.
