because we didn't win the war. Would you play a game you know you wont win?
There's certainly not the same proliferation of Nam games as there are WWII games, but it's an oversimplification to say there's none. There's Vietcong 1 and 2, Battlefield Vietnam, MoH Vietnam, Men of Valor, etc.
I don't think Vietnam games are ever going to be very popular, however, because unlike WWII, which was America's last great moment to truly be the hero, Vietnam was a messy, complicated conflict with no clear moral purpose, a war that most people would just as soon forget.
Without a doubt, but WWII is held in the American psyche as the ultimate military triumph of good over evil, and thus will always be wankingly glorified in film and literature and gaming, deservedly or not. I'd be highly suspect of anyone who said that German citizens remember WWII with the same rosy fondness.
You ever here of
Conflict Vietnam?
its a great game. go get it...
Nam, Shellshock...are some others I guess...
There aren't MANY Vietnam games, and most of them are pretty crappy. But I thought ''Conflict: Vietnam'' was fun... lots of cussin' ...I like most of the 'Conflict' series.

Vietnam games
How come there is no video games based on the vietnam war yet there is a lot of movies?
