just tell them
lol! well maybe explain why you want to be...
also do some research on it... find out exactly what foods you need to keep healthy and how you plan on getting these foods (you need to be careful you get all your nutrients) that way when they have questions or comments you'll have answers...
My family is also a huge meat eating group of people, and I'm a vegetarian. I just told my family that I wanted to become one and after awhile they figured out I was serious and seemed fine with it. I just had to make my own dinner most of the time since it would be different than theirs, but other than that it really wasn't any trouble. Just casually bring it up in a conversation and remind them every once in awhile what you're thinking about doing and soon they'll warm up to the idea and just accept it.
Hope that helps.
well if you think they're going to be against it or not take you seriously, don't be like 'I want to be a vegetarian.' cause that's implying you need their permission and they'll just be like, whatever haha, and then slap some meat on your plate. wait until your mom or whoever starts making dinner or the next time you're in the grocery store and just be like, 'so I've decided to go veggie.' ;] and just don't eat meat and eventually they'll see that you're forreals. if they for seriously are against it, you shouldn't let that stop you from being a vegetarian. it's your decision and it's not hurting anyone, as your family, they should support you. if not, oh wells.
You should just tell them, but make sure you have a few facts up your sleve for when they try to argue against you. Also, get a few recepies under your belt so you can cook for yourself if no-one else wants to. Don't try to push vegetarianism on them because that will make them even more resistant because it will get annoying.
