Using a curling iron

my hair is naturally curly, and sometimes I straighten it, but when I straighten it then try to curl it with a curling iron, it looks really good for a second then falls right out when I move.
I have a party tomorrow and I want to curl my hair pretty...

but I want it to stay in nicely.
I have a curling iron, really dark brown hair with a red stripe at the bottom and its pretty long. any ideas for how I should do my hair?

when you use the curling iron put hair spray on it

When you curl you're hair with the iron, leave the iron in for a little bit more than you usually do. Then immediately afterwards put hairspray on it.
Or better yet, don't straighten your hair. Just comb it out really good, and then curl it.
It;ll come out better and curlier; the way that you want it happy
