Why does my question title get edited all the time?

o_o like the title and category always gets edited
IS SOMEONE HACKING ME ACCOUNT ( GASP!!! )

It is probably being done by one of the advisor's. We try very hard to make sure the title reflects your questions. Like this question for example. It may be changed to Why does my question title (instead of thingy) get edited. We do this so you will get all the answers possible to your questions.

nope noone is hacking =] the advisors [I think] change your question title so it captures more of the main idea of the question and the catergories change so it can get put in the right catergory. for instance if you post a question on what color dress looks best on u, and you tittle it 'colors' it may change to 'the color of my dress' to make sure people understand it better, also if you put it in the shopping catergory, it may switched to beaty and style! no one is hacking your account it just has gotten switch for reasonable reasons!

however if you post a question in the right catergory and it ends up in the love and relationship catergory it may be a glitch because it has been happening to me!

Sue has it right. I just edited your question title

It causes HUGE problems for us when people title their questions so as to confuse people...we edit perhaps 35-50% of all question titles that people use on the site.
