Umbrella license to show movies to the public?

In the answer to the second question in the FAQ on the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation website is states "However, the Umbrella LicenseĀ® covers only those situations where admission is not charged."

So apparently the umbrella license doesn't allow you to charge admission to view said movies. It didn't say anything about such a thing anywhere else on the site, which is why I find it rather odd, but if that's true, what would one need to obtain to show movies and charge admission?

Hi,

Well, I tried to find the information by providing you with that site. Why don't you follow their instructions to contact them if you have more questions? I don't work for them, so I am not entirely sure.

It says to call (800) 462-8855 or send an email to info @ mplc.com. You will get faster results that way.
