Ufc and mma

I was just wonderin is ufc and mma tha same thing or is it different.

UFC stands for Ultimate fighting challenge
MMA stands for Mixed martial arts.
In the UFC there are many different types of martial arts such as kempo or tratitional Karate, but MMA is just another type.
So no they are not the same but there are a ton of MMA fighters in the UFC

MMA is the name of the sport
UFC is a name of a league just like theirs WEC and StrikeForce, DREAM

yeah... ez8o5 is right... but so is everyone else... MMA (mixed martial arts) IS the sport
UFC is the name of the league, like WWE ( RAW, ECW) SPL NFL
