are tummy tucks painful?

Are tummy tucks painful? I was thinking it through and I really want to get a tummy tuck and some minor lipo... I just want to know if tthe recovery period is painful

one of my family members had it and it didn't hurt that bad

My advice, before you decide to get a tummy tuck is to make sure you are going to keep the weight off. If you are not willing to do that then you are wasting time and money. If you don't eat right, it will all just come back. My sister thought that a tummy tuck and lipo would be just the thing. And it was...for about 6 months. She continued to eat the way she did before the tummy tuck and put all the weight back on. Now she is back at the same size and has a big scar on her stomach to show for it.

oh yeah... I know. I plan on it.. I lost a butt load of weight in the last few months and all I have left is a butt in the front... I want it gone. I plan on keeping the weight off... I never want to end up like I was... And it was from the kids... I had twins 4 years ago.. and it took me forever to get back to what I was before I had them...

That is so awesome to hear! I won a weight loss forum and I see people all the time trying to lose weight but not really serious about it. See,s like everyone wants to lose it the easy way with surgery but don't have a plan to keep it off after that. Congrats and good luck.

Oh yeah, make sure you research your plastic surgeon thoroughly. See,s like a lot of doc that are not really qualified or have the training are getting into plastic surgery procedures and they really have no business doing that. We have an ear nos and throat doctor around here that is now doing boob jobs and the half dozen or so that I have seen really look awful.
