Can i move in with my sister?

Asked by katiebugs over 2 years ago, 2 answers.

This last November, my dad passed away from skin cancer and my mom and I hate each other. I was wondering if at 16 I could move in to my sister's house without my mom's permission?

Check your state but you probably have to be 18....other option, check out the requirements for 'emancipation' in your state....ideally, it would be best if the two of you worked things out....you only have one Mother....she won't be here forever.

Good Luck and God Bless !!

you don't even need to get your moms permission tell her how you feel and telk to your sister. if its cool with her youre home free. i know where you are coming from in a way. I hate my mom and the way she acts about everything i do she is like my 2nd conscience and every thing she says makes me feel inferior to every one around me if your mom does things you hate then maybe it's better for the both of you if you leave
