I can say from first hand experience that it does. I used to kill time by eating snacks and now I smoke instead. I don't recommend you pick up smoking, but I can tell you it definitely has had a direct impact on my weight. I also gained weight when I quit smoking.

It's true. When you smoke cigarettes, the tar from it coats your taste buds which makes food taste bland. So you only eat to satisfy your hunger instead of eating for enjoyment..
Cigarettes also suppress your appetite..
It's not worth the yellow teeth and lung cancer though.

That's a complete myth. Smoking does not make you lose weight. If it did then what's the explanation for all the smokers I know who are heavy people.

In some cases it does sometimes is based on how much people do it!
Some people that smoke a lot during the day and it's like a lot a lot do loose weight because of the harm that is being done to their bodies.
And in some cases there is a part where you start to loose weight because your lungs devolop cancer and all that.
But everybodies bodie is different.

SOME PEOPLE lose weight when smoking, others don't. I lost 10 kg's (about 20 pounds) when I smoked in high school. Why? Because when I stress I struggle to eat and when I smoke I don't want to eat.

In anyways, don't try it, you might gain weight. Oh and the side effects of smoking far outweight ANY possible benefits that there MIGHT be.
