Travelling and a relationship

Asked by phoebe 7 months ago, 1 answer.

I've been with my boyfriend since I was 14 and been together for 4 years I've recently decided that im going to go travelling for 6 months its something that I've always wanted to do. we've spoken about it he really wants me to go and doesnt mind at all and is supportive but I can't help but worrying that I may ruin things.

I was wondering if anyone else had been in a same kind of situation and how it turned out

I haven't been in the same situation - but I have been in a long distance relationship and the concerns are similar.

With today's technology of email and cell phones I think that you both can make it work if you both really want to!

Plus there is always good old fashioned snail mail.

It is a very good sign that he is supportive of this.

I think it will be a really neat opportunity and you should really try to go. Besides - though he is a huge part of your life now things could change in the future anyway and you would regret missing out on your chance to see the world. If it is meant to be it will all work out!
