Technically, the name of the artist of this song is Nana starring Mika Nakashima. This is because Nakashima Mika is playing a character called Nana, in the new hit Japanese movie of the same name as Nakashima's character. There is a lot of background in this though. Nana is actually the name of a Japanese manga that has been extremely popular amongst teenagers. It features two characters named Nana, both of which have extremely different personalities. Hyde, vocalist of famous Japanese rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel has taken part in the arrangement and music of the songs featured on this single. He even made an appearance on Music Station when Nakashima was a guest for this song, to support her on guitar.
