Well, so far, it's based on country.
Look at the US - there are estimated to be about 84 people per square mile, whereas in Canada there are about 8 people per square mile.
Huge difference...the problem is...we've had many more Americans coming over here than we used to...so, yes...even Canada will eventually run out of space.
The killing ourselves part isn't stupid, I mean that for example if there were less humans, people wouldn't fight over land... oil... money... wars.
And don't you think the world would be such a better place without religion?
Just think of the world as it is now... and how many less problems there would be without religion...
I worry about policy makers who say this and want to reduce the population to 200 million. Then they revise it to 1 billion to try to be more reasonable in front of other politicians, but it's still scary.
We are using only 1/3 of the world's usable farmland and it is more than enough to feed the world; the problem is distributing it to everyone. Really we need to be reasonable and keep the population from excess growth by not having more children than we can take care of, but there aren't too many people yet. And we need to address the more pressing concerns like getting the food to those who need it.
no because in like 100 years we'll possibly start living on mars, it will be hard but we'd have to build a greenhouse there and plant plants that can survive in cold temperatures, eventually we will restore most of the atmosphere and it'll be warm enough to plant warmer plants on it thus mars will be habitable , we'd also need some animals
I fully agree! All the forests are being cut down so we have more room for buildings and houses just because we are multiplying so much that we are running out of room. Its just amazing how messed up this world has become, we are too involved with electronics and everything. If we didn't have so many video games and unnecessary things like that that would also solve our obesity problems. Little kids are gaining so much weight because they sit in front of the tv and game boys. Bottom line, we need to stop reproducing so much and get rid of electronics that ruin our heathy body weight and mind. Because if you think about it young kids used to spend their free time outside but technology has made it worse. People talk about how great the future is going to be, flying cars and what not but really that way no one will exercise. Sorry for rambling on but these are important issues!

Too many humans...

Too many humans...
I mean... come on, there are too many humans atm, and they are just gunna be more and more... eventually we will be killing ourselves off becaues there will be too many of us.
In china, the 1 child law... I don't neccessarily agree with it but think...
about it, if that law was introduced worldwide, the number of people in the world would be halved in a few generations.
This would give everyone a better quality of life, everything is linked, crime, terrorism everything... global warming wouldn't be a problem and there would be enough homes, food, water and everything for everyone.
What do all you guys think?
