Tongue piercing, is it infected?

I just got my tongue pierced on Sunday, and now there is a red bump on the bottom of my tongue, next to my ring, and there is also one on the top. I was wondering if this means it is infected, or what it could be?

um well I can honestly say that I have never gotten my tongue pierced, but my cartilage got a bump on it after I pierced it so I recommend you give it a day or two and if it doesn't go away go back to where you got it pierced at and find out if it's normal or what you need to do!

thank you, I just seen this a little while before I posted about it, and was worried. I thought maybe it was blood, since I just got it done, and it had just dryed there when I was sleeping, but when I tried to wipe it away, it stayed there and hurt. But I will Definatly go back to my piercer if it doesn't go away.

nope doesnt sound infected, it always goes red and scabs up (well the ones my friends have got done)
if it gets any worse, starts oozing sort of red gooey blood, then keep cleaning it for a bit more than said, and it should start to go down.

nahh that happened to me too.. just keep using mouthwash it will go away :-D

Tounge rings tell others one simple thing...

nah its not infected...I had my lip pierced and there was a bump and there was pass in it...but it will go down after a few days,depends how fast it heals

Thanks. I'm glad that it's normal for that to happen, because I have no clue what I'd do if it was infected.
