Tongue piercing help

bonjour! Asked by slaughterpwns 11 months ago, 3 answers.

I just got my tongue pierced on monday, professionally, sterile and everything. I've been brushing and using scope and swishing with sea salt and all that good stuff.

It's painful though, and swollen. Eating sucks, my talking sucks... Will eating...

ever get easier? When will I be able to properly enunciate my words again? When does the pain go away, and when will the swelling go down?

Also, the top barbell is making a depression in my tongue and it's all red and raw feeling there. Is that depression going to go away once the swelling goes down and my tongue gets use to it? And is that rawness supposed to happen? Or is that like an uh oh might be getting infected sort of sign?

I know it hasn't been even a whole week since I got it done but I'm paranoid and better safe then sorry.
