How to stop cutting?

How can I stop cutting? I do it on my arm and legs it leaves the grossest scars! But I can't stop!!

I'm not very familiar with cutting but as with all addictions, you need help, and, hopefully you want help or you wouldn't be asking.

Talk to a counselor or a Psychologist. Don't go to a Psychiatrist. They don't do anything.

Well my ex grilfriend use to do it a lot to I used to get mad her for doing it. she said she did it because of her anger and stress if thats what you have you need to control it. I agree with katwoman you need to talk to psychologist you need to stop hurting yourself. you need to respect and aprecciate yourself especially your body.

ok I know this is weird but some girl I knew tried it and it worked. take a piece of paper and slice it with a razor and then put it against your arm. then get fake blood or red lipstick and go over it, take off the paper and it looks like you cut yourself and it helps you stop... dunno why.
or falling in love will help, dunno why either. a couple people I know had that happen and they stopped... but if you broke up wouldn't you cut more?? I don't know, I don't cut so I have no idea. lol
