I think it must be about progressing in faith, or in giving God glory - we begin with faith but we can move to new depths of faith as we continue our Christian life. And we are in the position to give God glory now, through our lives and our praise, but will move to a new level of glory when we see Him in heaven. Does that seem right?

The phrases seem familiar to me but I can't place them - where do they come from?

yea I can understand the new levels but it's still the same faith so how are you going from one to another? it's kinda confusing. I hear it a lot in church and in songs. I think the scriptures are:

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH. (Romans 1:17)

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

To me it means that we started in faith, as individuals, and we continue in faith... also, all thruout the bible, up to now, our walk with God began with faith, and will continue in faith, until we cease to exist on this earth.

Same thing with glory, in my opinion, the glory of God has been from the begining, and continues still.
