Time of the month!

Asked by kittyace 3 months ago, 5 answers.

The last day of my 7 day period was May 3. Today May 14 I got a brownish discharge and some blood and I assume its my period again... I did a hpt and it was negative. What can it mean or be?

Are you on birth control? If not, it could be stress induced. Have you had any major changes in your sex life or just life in general? If this continues to happen, or is accompanied by a foul odor or pain, see your doctor.

Stress can manifest itself in you physically many ways. Have you also had any headaches or body aches lately? Find some healthy outlets and try to relax. If you do have any pain, odor, or other abnormalities, make an appointment with your gyno.

You may want to follow up with another hpt in a few weeks, especially if your late. Regardless be sure you're taking vitamins (with folic acid to prevent birth defects) and having safe sex. Especially if you have multiple partners. Condoms and the pills work best. Take control of your health. If your problem keeps up for several months put a call into a doctor, usually you can talk to a nurse to see if you need to come in or if it's anything to worry about. It probably isn't.
