Throat cancer?

I've had a sore throat for a few weeks now, I was reading about throat cancer and thats one of its symptoms,chronic sore throat. So ofcourse its got me wrroying now happy . I doesnt hurt that bad at all, and it kinda switches sides. One day it'll hurt only on...

the left side of my throat, and then another day it'll hurt on the right side.

Sorry if my question sounds kinda stupid but, I have anxiety so I worry about this stuff a lot.

Any reasurance would be appreciated.

It could be strept throat - I've had it so many times and it always worried me. You should make an appointment with the doctor and eat Popsicles as much as possible - trust me, they help!

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I smoke also. I've been smoking for like, 4 or 5 years. I smoke a little over a pack a day. Ofcourse I didnt start out at a pack a day. it got to a pack a day about 1 year into smoking, so.

youll be fine but to make sure just make an appointment to the doctor and its not a stupid queestion because id be worried 2 if I had it just because im like that

Smoking isn't a good thing to do... so quit... See a doc then you don't need to worry about it...
