football is basically all physics since physics is (as you know) the science of our physical world. how football calculates into physics is through mechanics which is, in short, the motion of the players and its causes. for example, when a player throws the ball to another player down the length of the field, that player makes adjustments and tends to all the factors like distance, the weight of the ball, the wind, etc. the player knows that the farther away his teammate is, he will have to throw the ball with that much more force. and there you have the physics or football.

hope that helps you out.
