What if my parents hate the guy I love?

I really love this guy, hes 15 and im 13, but my parents hate him, it may seem like a big age gap, but hes really sensitive and really shy round gurls, speshially me. so he wouldnt take advantage of me. but they don't see tha, they only see his troubled past, and if I try to explain that he isnt like they think, the just ground me or send me to my room, what do I do?

Hi..Invite him round to meet them.I'm guessing they haven't and so if he is ok,then he wouldn't mind showing himself.
