Themed parties

Asked by valright about 1 year ago, 4 answers.

So I'm a College student at a large university, who is looking to throw themed parties (Hawaiian Night, Cowboys and Indians, CEO's and Corporate Hoes, etc), and was wondering if anyone had any new or interesting suggestions. Don't be afraid to state...

the outlandish or dorky, I'm notoriously open minded. Themes that you've actually tried and seen good results from are of the preferred variety.

haha have you tried the old dress-in-the-opposite-sexes-PJ's theme, where the dudes dress in like womens lingerie and the chicks dress in like guys boxer shorts and stuff?

One of my friends recently had a 'Heroes and Villains' night.

You can try UV-light glow parties where everyone paints themselves with UV-paint and wear glow sticks. And the only light around are UV-lights. Or just as well a glow in the dark party?

You could also try Cliched Teen Horror Movie, where everyone can dress like anyone from any of those kind of movies (Jason X masks, and 'innocent cheerleader' comes to mind).

Maybe Burlesque parties, Arabian Nights, Medieval, Mythical Creatures, a few others I can think of at the moment..

anything with fancy dress...EVERYONE LOVES fancy dress!!! seriously! making it themed could be tricky, since some people won't want to go as 'so and so', maybe make it that if people are coming in pairs (as most people do) to have like a duet thingm like sunny and cher, or tweetie and sylvester...

and maybe charge £1 to come to party, and then offer a £50 prize to the winner...bit like a funny prom...and people have to vote!!

oooh so much fun...

Yes definite suggestion - make sure that you join an affiliate program so that you can get money as people buy their costumes - this sort of thing http://fancydressheaven.co.uk/pages/tell-your-friends-and-get-10-of-all-sales-pv-c0-34.html
