I think its because you aren't willing to accept that fact that you are depressed. In order for you to deal with it and help it... you have to stand up and tell yourself 'I am depressed'. Once you notice it, it helps you more to get the help you need and move on with your life. Just like if someone was an alcoholic, in order for them to get help, they would have to recognize that they truly are an alcohol and do need help. Denying it isn't going to help things, it will make it worse in the long run. If you are interested in looking depression in the face and dealing with it, I have some websites I'd be happy to share with you. FunMail me if you want. Take care of yourself.
Depression is a mental illness. People experiencing it are sad, lack interest in everyday activities and events, and feel a sense of worthlessness.
A depression can be triggered by a tragic event (mourning) or have no apparent cause.
Several molecules found in the brain have been associated with depression, which is why it is often treated using medications that act on the brain.
Some people have it without even knowing too. It can creap up on you and bite you in the butt and you may not even know and could question on a daily basis how and why it came on. Your symptoms are what docors would call depression. The sooner you deal with having it the sooner you can get your life back. Its not a dirty word anymore and people need to tell others they have it so more can get an understanding of what it is. I was diagnosed with it after a mini breakdown which came from god knows where but I dealt with it head on and have a much better life now than what I had had before.
Tell em to mind their own damn busines unless you want to answer them then tell them you have Chronic Emotional Internal Anger.

Is it weird the word "depression" annoys me?
I hate it, people are always asking me, are you depressed, and I always say, im not depressed I just have long term sadness. The word depression makes me uncomfortable *shivers*, even if people are talking about 'depression' on tv I get queasy, weird?
