A quarter of the world's oil reserves lie beneath that one single country.
Go figure.
and we continue to be attacked by bin ladens boys, this fight needs to be fought, we have their attention -now that we haven't just cut and run like they figured we would.
terrorists need to be stopped (shot) and we are doing that.
We need to get these countries back on there feet. If you just leave than another tyrant will try to take over and we will back at square one. Democracy isnt an easy thing to set up. The people need to get involved but the whole concept is new to them. Before they were afraid of there government and now we ask them to become a part of it. It is challenging. We just need to keep in mind that there is a lot of good people over there. They are people just like you and me that deserve freedom. No one ever said freedom was easy or free.
I am proud to be a part of a country that wants the freedom we have to be enjoyed by all!Isn't that our right as human beings?
This is just my opinion.
lol everyone... wow... Don't be fooled... this war is not as it seems. It is over oil, it is over power, it is over money. Do you think we're rebuilding their country so that we can better ourselves by helping them? NO, we're rebuilding their country so that we can set up OUR stores and stuff over there so WE can make money and control their economy as well as ours. On top of that our government wants the oil, and they want to make examples of these people even though I don't even think they did 9/11. And terrorists do need to be stopped, but who's to say all the people over there are terrorists? We've made enemy's that aren't terrorists but now they're pissed because we attacked them for no reason...
Imagine this... 6 americans go to japan and drop a couple buildings, same way as what happened to us, just with americans... and then BOOM, we're at war with japan.. because those 6 americans must represent our whole country right? I mean come on... lets stop being lame... It's time to be real... and the sad part, is that if we pull out now, after all we've done to these people, they're most likely going to see us as weak and find their time for vengance... Many consider our enemys to be holy people and their ground to be sacred... our country's government has no respect for anyone, not even us. They imprison us with their stupid rules, in an attempt to keep us dumb and most of us broke. You go to jail so that the state can get money from you, not to keep you off the streets. (Exception to moletsers and murderors)... Some people really deserve to get locked up, but for the most part it's a scam.
Go to a big city, sit in the court room for a couple hours watching cases... Bring a calculator, and add up every time they say what the persons fines and court costs are. Then Multiply your 1 hour worth of sitting there by the number of active courtrooms in a day at that court house, then multiply that number by the hours that they hold court open during the day. You'll see how much money is made just in 1 day, it's insane!!! people getting fined for all sorts of stupid things...
I got off topic, but my main thing I was trying to say is, don't trust the media or the government, this war is stupid, but now we're kind of stuck in it... :X
BTW, in some cities the courthouses make More than a couple million in one day alone. I think last time I sat in a court room I counted up almost 250 thousand dollars in 1 hour, and not everyone in the room even got handled yet, multply that by the 20 some court rooms open that day, thats a lot of money for just 1 hour.. I think thats like 5 million dollars or sum like that
I dont agree with everything you said but I dont disagree with everything you said either. I just have a couple questions. Have you ever even been to some of these countries? Have you ever taken the time to talk to anyone from one of these countries?
Do you think we should just turn our back on them?
Type_A I couldnt agree with you more. Once you have been there and see the people you cant turn your back on them and that has nothing to do with being american that deals with whats down low and thats being human. a lot of the info that was stated comes from the media. If you dont trust the government. they lead the country we live in. They and people serving in the military such as myself do the things we do and follow the orders we do so people can have these sites and even the ability to state what is on their mind. Maybe we should have never went to any of these places and let them continue genocide. Hmm not so much. Im not saying I agree with the government all the time. There is always going to be conflict with opinion and choices but you take the good with the bad
Shouldn't the US be going for the root of the problem, or at least figuring it out? You can treat cancer but that's not going to stop the number of cases. Figuring out why people get cancer will. Thus we can fight people who are in our eyes terrorists but shouldn't we figure out why they're fighting in the first place?
I'm not saying these people don't need help, what I am saying is that our government has alterior motives.. I am all for helping these people, but thats not what this war is all about... ask bush
dang mozzuk, that was one of the more intellegent things I've heard said on this site

The war..

If we killed whom we were in there for, why are we still in there?
and what if we set off a nuclear bomb, why will the rest of the worlds countries set one off if they cant find one?
