It takes billions of years for a sun too explode,or"go out" apparently.
But can't it just burst any day if It wanted too?

the sun goes through a life cycle sort of like people . it starts out a baby, then it moves to middle age, then red giant. after red giant it will ither die down to a black dwarf star or explode and cause a black hole and it would suck in most or all of the planets.

ps. It will not explode if we polute our planet . we will just desrtoy our planet!

Our sun is too small to form a black hole. Like the others said, it has a life cycle and its not going anywhere until that cycle has ended.

Stars such as our sun burn from thermo-nuclear fusion atoms turn into fuel inside. The gravity in the center is pulling with tromendous force but the gas wants to escape and the two forces are equal so it holds itself up until it runs out of fuel and there is no more force pulling from the gravity
