The sims 3: like it or not?

I have to say im disappointed with the sims 3. It wasnt that great, definitely not as cool as I expected. Its a little too detailed and hi-tech for me, especially since im so used to the sims 2. Let me know your opinions on the game, did you like it or...

is it way overrated?

I dont have it yet and I just starting useing Sims 2 so that might be a good thing :D

my boyfreind just bought it now and it downloading it
I havent played it yet
I've only ever played sims 1 and the first time I did was yesterday
but I assume the new one will be really complicated

ya the sims 3 is so much different than the sims 1. the sims 2 was a lot different, but it was basically the same plot and same controls. the sims 3 is too much like a completely different game, and I didnt really get it.

thesims3 is sooo great and much more like real life, the cotrols are much more advanced but easy,
I love the fact you can visit other houses, and you can take them on the town
