What is the "h" in html?

What the 'H' is HMTL??? Have been getting that message a lot answering questions. It is so irritating.

'HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is the set of markup symbols or codes inserted in a file intended for display on a World Wide Web browser page.

HTML = hypertext markup language. Did you try to post something with left angle & right angle brackets around it?
